Frequently Aasked Questions

What is an Auto Detail & how is it different from a car wash?

While the average car wash takes less than 30 minutes - inside & out, a complete interior detail ranges from 3-6 hours depending on the vehicle size & condition. We take the time to cover the complete interior of the car, focusing on spots on the vinyl, carpets & seats. We shampoo the carpets / upholstery to remove stains and eliminate odors. We then clean & condition the leather & vinyl. When possible, we remove seats to make sure we clean corners & crevices that are not accessible otherwise.

I found someone to detail my car for $50, why should I pay any more?

Anyone with a shop vac and a rag could claim they offer a detail service. While they still may clean your car, marketing their service as a 'detail' can be misleading. Simply put, true detailing requires certain equipment, time commitment and attention to details. Someone who offers a 'detail' at a low, discounted rate could probably be better described as a car wash service. To avoid over paying for a car wash - ask questions. Make sure the detailer is knowledgeable about the services they offer and the products they use.

Do you offer a mobile detailing service?

We offer a local pickup / drop off service to our customers. We have found that mobile detailing service, too often, compromises the quality of the job. In-shop details tend to be better since there are no weather, space, power and equipment restrictions - the detail takes less time and your car comes out looking better.

What is the difference between wax and polish?

Wax acts as a physical barrier against water, soot, smoke and dust. It creats a new layer that protects the paint from fading and gives it a cosmetic shine. Polish in the other hand restores a dull, rough and scratched paint finish.
