Ceramic Pro on Tesla Model 3’s in Boulder

In this video we show a few Tesla Model 3’s in our shop. They came in, most brand new, and we corrected the factory defects and then applied Ceramic Pro… The paint on Tesla’s Model 3 is very soft. It needs help. Their factory clear coat is not good enough for long lasting protection against the elements.

Paint Correction before applying a Ceramic Pro Gold package on a Tesla Model 3

People often ask why is in important to do a full paint correction before applying Ceramic Pro on a vehicle? And often people ask, “Well, maybe for and old car but mine is new so I won’t need any paint correction.” This Tesla Model 3 was new!

In this video we show some side panels on a new Tesla Model 3. Really great before and after video. It is so important that all imperfections be corrected, as much as possible, before applying the Ceramic Coating. Why? Because Ceramic Pro is a permanent bond. Don’t want to seal in imperfections!

Never got a detail before so I wasnt sure it would be worth the price. We have kids and the car was absolutely filthy. Was trying to do something nice for my wife for mothers day so i dropped the car off with Oscar for the day to be detailed. I just recently bought my car, and needed it to be thoroughly cleaned from the previous owner. This place mostly did a good job, however they missed a huge spot in between the driver seat and center console. There's still food crumbs and old candy stuck in between there. There were also still some crumbs in the nooks and crannies of the gear shift. I wish I would have caught this before leaving. I could have taken my car to a closer auto detailing service, but I specifically chose this place because of how good the reviews are and how they describe their service on the website. They mention that they clean in between the seats on their website and that they only detail a small amount of cars so that none are rushed. My car wasn't even that dirty, so it must have been rushed. I hate leaving negative comments about a small business, but the service is expensive for what I got. I spent $240 not including tip, so I'm annoyed that they barely got all of the nooks and crannies they claim to get on their website. Overall, I think the service is ok, but from my experience a bit overrated based on reviews. I like that they don't try and sell extra services to you and contact you far in advance so you have enough time to get your car. But, if you're like me and have high expectations because of their service description and reviews, just be sure to fully inspect your car before leaving and tipping.

Took my Tesla here for paint protection film on the front bumper/headlights as well as the gold package ceramic coating. Reggie did a great job on my truck! I bought a truck that had a heavy smoke smell and his team took the smell away. They also offered to run the ozone treatment for the little smoke smell that was left over when you turn the ac on. Great service!! Will be taking my truck here for my details in the future.

Was hesitant to spend this much money for the “Gold Package “ however when I went to the shop and looked at the other vehicles that were done I was sold. My 8 yr old Benz SUV 🚙 LOOKS AWESOME! WOW! I didn’t know my car could look this good! The interior is perfectly cleaned and they even washed and waxed the exterior of my car eliminating some of the smaller dings and scratches (this is huge since my Mercedes is black and easily shows imperfections). The staff was friendly and efficient. Five stars all around!

I have a fleet of landscape work trucks that were extremely dirty and needed professional detail. It was easy to schedule, drop off and pick up. The quality was exceptional with the trucks looking and smelling very close to new after. The price was reasonable for the amount of work needed. The work time frame was fast. They are thoughtful with providing estimates, very timely in completing their work and this was, without doubt, the most thorough auto detailing I’ve ever had. I did the full auto detailing package for my Ford Explorer. I wasn't sure on the price (was it too high, I asked myself)... However, the reviews were all positive and I decided it was worth it to take the chance. WOW! That is the best way that I can describe the work they did. My car was dirty. Stuff under the seats, etc. When I got the car back, everything was clean (including the engine AND they managed to get all of those "extra" French Fries that were under the kids' seats). I wish I had a before pic (who takes pics of a dirty car)? It was way more than just surface dirt. The carpets look new! The seats look new! The whole car shines and has only been this clean when we bought it new. Great group of folks! Worth EVERY penny (including the ones they found under my seat)!

Geremey and his team (shout out to Ronald and Marcus) did an outstanding job on my 4Runner. I have the Limited Nightshade version in white and the ceramic coating makes the white really pop! The black accents now are mirror like in their shine. I received updates and pictures on how my work was progressing and they delivered even earlier than promised. I have a wrap on my car which I wanted to do my best to preserve and protect a little bit longer with this harsh weather in Colorado. I found Mike and his crew and was thrilled to death with the results of the Ceramic Pro job they did for me. They also fixed my headlights which were so badly oxidized they were barely providing me light at night. The headlights now look BRAND NEW!! I soooooo wish I would have taken a before and after picture because it was incredible the difference they made. Communication was great as well as their attention to detail. I would highly recommend these guys as well as the product they used. It's been a few weeks since I got the treatment done and my car is brilliantly clean still. Yay Boulder Auto Detail!!

I’ve never had any “detail” work on a car in my 78 years and countless cars, but I’m a convert now. My wife’s Suzuki had headlights that barely illuminated the road because of badly scratched up lenses. Our regular car repair shop quoted $200 and Boulder Auto Detail $100. Further, owner Mike Smith walked me through the three-hour process in impressive detail. Everyone in the shop was friendly and helpful and the job was extraordinarily well done. It includes a two-year guarantee because the ceramic coating they apply after the polishing processes is hard, clear, and has a long life. I’m delighted and my wife can see the road at night!

I had recently bought a 2018 Camaro SS and later discovered that there was hard water spots on the rear of the car that I could not remove. I brought it in to Mike and his team for an exterior detail and let me tell you, they did an incredible job! We went to Boulder Auto Detail to get the Ceramic pro + a clear bra (just front bumper) put on our Tesla. We live in the mountains so our car had some damage already on the paint. Things you look for in a detail shop: An owner who knows their stuff An owner who’s passionate about their work An owner who is a perfectionist Well, Boulder Auto Detail’s Mike has all 3 characteristics! And it really shows in their work! I recently bought a black car and had no idea that normal washing could damage the paint that badly. Never again will I use a car wash with any kind of brushes. I HIGHLY recommend Boulder Auto Detail for any detail work you need and of course their signature Ceramic Pro service! They are the best place to get this done!!! I initially brought my old Honda Fit in to get my headlights cleaned, and these guys did an amazing job with that! Mike then saw me roll in with my new '19 Forester and gave me all the info on Ceramic Pro for that. After my experience with the headlights and seeing the results of Ceramic Pro on Mike's car and other cars in the shop and doing research on Ceramic Pro, I decided to get the silver package to protect my investment and keep my new car looking great for years to come. Mike and Ricardo and everyone else there was super friendly and answered all my questions, and they got the job done fast and communicated with me sending me pictures of the progress along the way which was really cool. Mike and Evan both went above and beyond in working on my car and the results are amazing. They also did a great job cleaning the interior of my truck, which was no small feat given that it probably hasn’t been cleaned since the late 90’s. If you need to have your vehicle detailed this is where you should bring it.

I'm very glad I trusted my brand new Tesla Model 3 to the folks at Boulder Auto Detail. The were very professional and did a meticulous job. I chose the Gold option which took 4 days for 5 coats of Ceramic Pro. I really appreciated being kept up to date with the process via photos and videos. A great relief for the nervous new owner. I went to Boulder Auto Detail for ceramic coating and detailing. My car had lots of baked-in tree sap that had infiltrated the clear coat. Ricardo put in twice as many prep hours as a job like this would normally take, with no extra charge. Mike was super flexible and communicative throughout the multiple- day process. I will never go anywhere else!

Evan, an enthusiast, painstakingly focused on the finest details, and Mike, a friendly, professional, and authentic proprietor. I drove my new A7 straight from the dealer to Boulder Auto Detail for Ceramic Pro Gold, thinking its dark blue metallic couldn't be improved - simply seeking tough surface protection against harsh CO winters. But I was mistaken, after the guys did a full paint correction, removing the smallest of dealer-induced swirls and scratches, they applied coat after coat of 9H. The result is stunning, and will stay that way... flawless even in direct sun, with deep, rich purple hues I couldn't see before. RIP wax, it's like driving a mirror!

Mike and Evan did an amazing job on my 2008 BMW that has been sitting in Boulder for the last 3 years exposed to the sun etc. The paint oxidation in my opinion was beyond repair but they did a full paint correction and brought it back to its original luster. They followed that with a Ceramic Pro coating - amazing - - car has a pearl sheen to it and feels like glass. I have another BMW 2002 (Family Show Car) that I will be bringing to Mike for the same makeover. Being from New York and being a car guy I can’t say enough about my satisfaction!!

Boulder Auto Detail is by far the best, most professional detail shop I have ever used! There is no need to research others. Whether you have a Lexus that needs high-end detailing or an old Subaru that needs life breathed back into... they are the shop to go to. They are worth every penny spent and then some. I brought my 18 year old Subaru Outback in this winter for a Bumper to Bumper service after a 5 year detailing hiatus. I couldn't believe my eyes when they were done. My Subaru looked nearly new inside and out! Everything from their headlight restoration to dog hair removal to the waxing to the leather conditioning was exceptional. The car is more fun to drive as a result! I have also taken in my Lexus SUV to be detailed there twice. Their attention to detail with high-end cars is unparalleled. The result is showroom quality! Detailing is a passion for the entire team, not just a job. You can tell when they speak to you about the year, make, model of your car; how they've detailed it; and how they recommend you maintain the car. We're lucky to have such a great shop in Boulder!

AMAZING!!!! If you've ever had the experience of getting your car detailed it can sometimes be a rushed process. Sometimes you find areas missed in the speed of getting your car done, it's crowded in many of the places and just not fun. Well, put all that aside and try out Boulder Auto Detail. Simply put it has been the best car detail experience I've ever had. Mike and his staff are extremely approachable and very friendly. More importantly, your car is detailed and cleaned to an immaculate level! My car was cleaner picking it up from here than when I first bought it new. That's how good of a job they do. Make sure you call and schedule your appointment, perfection does take time but it's worth every minute of the wait!

As soon as I dropped by for a consultation, I knew my car would be in good hands. Mike pointed out some hail damage I hadn’t even seen, and reassured me about some water spots on my paint (which disappeared with a detailing). I was more than happy with the result of my car detailing, and it was a great price.

Quite simply they do amazing work and give great service. From dropping me of at work to making my headlights look "new" I was impressed with every interaction. I was so impressed I immediately signed up for an exterior detail. My car has almost 200k on it and they have made it look like a car a fraction of its age.

Mike and his team did a great job on my car. You can tell they put in the extra effort to make sure they got all the details right. I was very impressed, everything is so clean, shiny, and smooth. To top if off, the customer service was top notch - he answered my call on a weekend, got me booked for that next week, and texted me photos of my car when it was ready to pickup. 10 year old Eclipse. Dull and dirty and tired looking. Now shiny and beautiful and energetic. Did it on a Sunday for me. The owner with another did it himself. Even the engine! I wish I had a transparent hood to show it off. Decided not to wait till I sell it one day. Why not enjoy your car's look now? Did I mention the headlight covers? Light could not even shine through them. Now they are new looking. Doesn't matter what it cost. Bring your car here.

Mike and the staff at Boulder Auto Detail did an amazing job on my truck. They were friendly and very thorough. The exterior of my truck looks better than it did when I bought the truck new! The interior is spotless and doesn't have any residual cleaning chemical smell...which I appreciate. They did a great job on the engine of my truck as well. The work Boulder Auto Detail did easily wiped away the past three years of wear and tear on my truck. I am excited to work with them again!

I came to Mike with a very unsavory situation. Oodles and oodles of barf sauce had been expelled in and on the passenger side of my whip and therefore was nearly undriveable due to the pungent odor. Mike proceeded to work with me and was more than pleasant and helpful, despite my unfortunate service request. When I came back to pick up my ride, she was shining like a cherry red, aloe-lathered sunburn. Sleek and smooth and oh yes, the chunks had been removed. To add, the other employees were working but didn't hesitate to chat and be extremely friendly. Thanks again for the great experience Mike! Would recommend this company to anyone!

I expected my car to look good, but it had never looked better after being detailed at Boulder Auto Detail, and it reminded me that excellence is harder and harder to find these days. The customer service and craftsmanship is excellent, top notch, superior quality. We needed to sell our car and took it to Boulder Auto Detail at the last minute (they were so accommodating) and without a doubt we made an extra couple of thousand dollars on the sale because the car looked so beautiful, even the engine was stunning. Mike did an incredible job on my vehicle, which thankfully is no longer covered with tree sap. It looks better than brand new, i'm thrilled! Mike and his crew did a great job. He got me in on short notice and worked with my schedule. When I picked the car up I had questions about how to maintain the cleanliness of the car and he spent a lot of time showing me the products he uses and he even gave me free microfiber cloths to help. These guys did an amazing job! This is a small local business with experienced, hard-working guys. They have been in business in Boulder for a long time, but they obviously still love what they do and they take their job seriously. Mike, the owner, was easy to schedule with and went above and beyond. Their work exceeded my expectations. I'm pretty detail-oriented and I have zero complaints. :) They did such a great bumper-to-bumper job on my car that we decided to have my husband's scratched and dirty, huge Ford truck detailed too. Both cars looked absolutely beautiful when they were done. I definitely recommend using this company.

Mike did a fantastic job on my Subaru. I requested the Bumper-2-Bumper and was not disappointed. Car's like brand new. Having been to numerous car detailing places in Pennsylvania, Texas, and now Colorado- I can say these guys are the best out of all of them. Mike and his crew went above and beyond to deep clean my vehicle! With kids and pets and a winter's worth of ski trips, the car's interior haf become caked with dried mud and food residue. I was able to get an appointment quickly, and in only a half-day's time, they made the car as good as new! Great location near downtown allowed me to drop off the car with ease, and a personal text with photo assured me the car was ready to pick up ahead of schedule. Money well spent! Highly recommend!
